 Bhagawan's 82nd Birthday celebrations began just after 9 am with the procession starting from Bhagawan's residence to Sai Kulwant Hall. The Bands of Primary School girls, Anantapur girls, Primary School boys and Prasanthi Nilayam boys led the Vedam chanting students who preceded Bhagawan who arrived in His chair. After a full round of the packed Sai Kulwant Hall, Swami came onto the verandah where He Blessed the various Birthday cakes till He came onstage at 9.35 am. The Malladi brothers sang for Bhagawan accompanied by their father. After a couple of songs, Prof Anil Kumar was asked to make an announcement. The anointing ceremony which Bhagawan had discontinued long back was being reinstated. Six distinguished couples (Mrs & Mr.R.J.Ratnakar [son of Late Janaki Ramayya garu, the chosen brother of Swami] , Mrs & Mr.Justice Bhagwathi, Mrs & Mr.Indulal Shah, Mrs.& Mr. Showrie, (here Swami called Prof.Anil Kumar and said something and Prof.Anil Kumar announced that Mr.Showrie is only 99 years old), 85 years old Mrs & Mr.Marga bandu ) were called up to the dais one by one and anointed Bhagawan's hair with flowers dipped in scented oil with the accompaniment of Vedic chants. The vocal concert of the Malladi brothers continued after the anointing. Bhagawan accepted Arati and returned to His residence along with the four bands at 11 am.
The evening programme commenced with Bhagawan arriving in His chair into Sai Kulwant Hall to the accompaniment of Vedam chanting and Panchavadyam. After His darshan round, Swami came onstage and asked the Malladi brothers to sing again. Their hour-long Carnatic concert commenced at 5.45 pm. At the end of their concert, Bhagawan Blessed their father with a chain. Next was the turn of Sri Hariharan to sing. He sang some ghazals and some Carnatic songs too. Bhagawan Blessed him with a ring after an hour of singing, then asked him to sing a last song. Concluding with the Bhajan "Janani Maa", Sri Hariharan's concert was followed by Arati. Bhagawan took group photos with both the groups of singers as Arati went on and returned to His residence after 8 o'clock.
 Om Sairam dearest Sai family, The festival fever in India has caught up as Muslim brothers and sisters will celebrate the holy festival of Ramzan as the reports are coming, Ramzan will be celebrated on Sunday in India and Navarathri festival marking Dasara has started today.. About 4000 Sai youth from Kerala are here for the past 3 days and yesterday they had a breathtaking bhajan session. Puttaparthi and its surrounding villages are in a festive mood and why not, thanks to the Grama Seva started by THE SON OF THIS HOLY SOIL, our universal Lord Sathya Sai…..Its like biological clock, my uncle’s son who is just 5 years old, who rarely knows which month we are in , was saying, I think this is the time when Swami’s people (students) come to distribute laddus… Such is the curiosity from all ages of the society… The much awaited Grama Seva will commence as per the Divine command tomorrow (13october) after morning bhajan. The students from all the campuses are here to do their bit for this meritorious act started by our compassionate Lord Sai. Like last year, a team of youth under the leadership of Mr.Popat from UK is also here to take part in Grama Seva from tomorrow.. Swami is coming bit late in the evenings now a days. Darshans are a big test to your mental and physical strength. I should say,it’s a boon to be in Kulwanth hall, later the better, as we will be thinking of Swami and His arrival and atleast by that way we will be thinking of God, forgetting all our worldly worries and anxieties… Swami is usually coming after 5pm as the bhajans are going on. This evening before any one could enter the hall, the youth from Kerala were seated in Kulwanth hall leaving very few first line spots for other devotees. It was quite anxious waiting for all of us… All the eyes were glued to the path way from where Swami comes to give darshan. It was 5pm and no trace of Swami, Bhajans started exactly at 5pm and all were wondering if Swami would come or not.. In just 5 minutes, Mr.Gokak,the present vice chancellor of Sathya Sai University, came out from Swami’s Abode. Probably Swami had a lengthy meeting, giving directions, suggestions and guidelines for the forth coming Grama Seva…Swami’s actions are all devotee centric, He rarely has time for Himself.. In just 5 minutes, wasting no time, Swami came out to satisfy the thousands assembled for His divine Darshan… The car came towards the gents side as well and Swami accepted few letters from the Kerala youth and headed to the dias.. After alighting from His automatic throne Swami went to the interview room and later to the bhajan hall..It was 5:15 by then and at 5:30, instead of arathi, the students continued singing, this time some solo telugu songs as we all listened to them with utmost devotion…  Later the students started singing some of the songs rendered by Swami in early 60s which are compiled in cds by name Sathya Sai Geethamulu..Swami was seated in bhajan mandir and looked like Swami was checking if the students still remember the songs, He rendered which are rarely sung in Kulwanth hall…It was 6pm by then and bhajan session still on.. Some attractive numbers like Rava Swami Sai Baba brochutaku, mammu kachutaku, Needu sannidi maku pennidi, were sung with utmost devotion.. All the songs were in telugu and the Kerala youth joined their hands to the tune of the song.. time 6:15 and the bhajan session still on.. looked like it was a mini Akhanda Bhajan…. Mean while Mysore pak, Prasadam was distributed and scintillating bhajans full of Sai Love came to end when arathi was given to Swami at 6 :45. Dear members of our Sai Family, the much awaited Sri Sathya Sai World Youth Conference was inaugarated amidst cheers, prayers and tears (of joy) in the immediate presence of our beloved Lord. Atleast 5000 delegates are here for the youth confernce flowen to Puttaparthi from 86 different countries.
the whole youth took a procession in the streets of Puttaparthi early morning chanting mantras, singing bhajns and many of them had tears in thier eyes, hearful smiles and the atmosphere was just blisfull. while the streets of Puttaprthi were full with people on either side of the road, eagerly looking at the youth, the blessed ones were excited for the kind of response they were having from the co-devotes this feeling itself says how hopeful are the elders on the youth. they are the torch bearers of tommorow's world. As Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India rightly "todays children are tomoorww citizens, by becoming mere citizens is not a big thing,but to become true citizens, beloved children of our Mother Sai is our ultimate goal. the youth are so excited and thirilled for the oportunity they ae having. they are the chosen ones out of the miloios all over the world .they have come here after much hardship, they are completely immersed in the Ananda Saagar(ocean of happiness) filling strength and courage to swim the Samsara Sagara(ocean of life).
I was speaking to one sai sister from SA and she was saying, there is so much change ever since she has become part of this Conference. She says, all the worldly comforts,
bad company,
so called night life
is just waste of time and energy.
With Swami its never too late.
He gives ample amount of time for us to change. Swami arrived for this morning darshan around 8am as two bands played music. The youth who were outside in the procession got back to Kulwanth hall at 8:40 and in a few minutes Swami emerged from the interview room with His most beautiful smile, like a mother proud of her children looked at all the youth gathered. As Swami got at the center of the dias, Dr.Goldstein, the International president of Sri Sathya Sai Organisation, gave a fantastic talk highlighting the importance of conducting this youth conference especially during this time when the whole world is disturbed. Where peace is broken into pieces. He was of the opinion that time has come for the youth to carry forward the stupendous activities taken up by Sai Organisations all over theworld. He urged the youth to come forward to lend their helping hand to uplift the world which inturn will uplift one's own individual spiritual growth. After a 20 minute thought provoking talk Dr. Goldstein after taking Swami's blessings, introduced another speaker from UK, a very active member of the Sai Organisation in UK. He also spoke on the importance of youth taking over the charge. He shared some intimate moments with Swami and the way Swami changed his life.
After the talk, he went to Swami to take His blessings. Swami lovingly patted him and He stretched His hand around the neck of the man, as if to see if he has any chain around his neck. In the very next second, Swami's hand made two circles and during the third circle came a beautiful, gold chain and as all of us joined our hands, Swami slipped the chain around his neck.It was 9:45 by then.On normal days, bhajans would be finished. Dr.Goldstien and others were seen discussing with Swami probably about the next programme. I was thinking, what next Swami? Its inaugaral function of Youth Conference, and it would be so nice if you could speak for some time and there came Swami's mike. Swami slowly rose from His thorne... He is also acquiring common sense which is the size of a mighty mountain, but he is unable to give up discrimination. If you dont give up discrimination, then all that you have is waste of time. Be alike to every one." Showing the hand kerchief, Swami continued, This is a cloth. what was it before, thread, where from the thread came from cotton. so it was cotton, then thread and now cloth. in the same way you are not one.. you are three.
The one others think you are,
the one you think you are and the one YOU REALLY ARE.
realise this truth and lead your life. Give up body attachment. Its the root cause for all the disturbance. You are not the body. You say this is my head, my mind, my leg, my hand.. every time my.. my..my.. when you say MY LEG. you are saying the truth that you are not the leg. The name given to this body is Sathya Sai Baba.
I am not Sathya Sai Baba,
its a mere name given to this body by parents.
So don't identity yourself with your body.
Its like a dress. So long as you are in this body you can claim this. When you leave this body, its set fire on the pire. then what happens to you..Its just your body which will be burnt and not you.
U always say I.. I.. I.. Strike a horizontal line to this I and it will become Cross (+). The I is gone.. Develop love for your fellow beings. Now a days man is running behind Dabbu.. dabbu (money). what for is this money? How much money does one need? Nothing will come with you after you leave this body.. The easiest thing which can be attained in this world is God. Just send your love to Him and He will give what ever you need. People show no interest towards God, rather run behind worldly comforts. It was 10:15 by then, almost 30 minutes since Swami was delivering His divine discourse. He continued, Its getting late now. I don't want to continue further and give you trouble ( there was a big NO from the audience). You all assemble here at 4pm and I will tell you the easiest way to reach God, in a very simple manner. So saying Swami sat on His thorne and later Prof.Anil Kumar took over the mike to make an announcement. He said, there is a Volley Ball match between Sri Lanka and India this afternoon at 4pm. The evening programme will continue as usual. Swami will go and come back after blessing the players.

EVENING DARSHAN:
As Swami promised to visit the Indoor stadium at 4pm all the roads of Puttaparthi were jam packed with people on either side. All the deligates of the conference reached the newly built Indoor stadium by 3pm. There were very few devotees and volunteers in Kulwanth hall. Swami's headed towards the indoor stadium around 4:15.It was 5pm and Swami was still in the stadium. It was 5:30 and all were expecting Swami any moment. The match was going on in full swing, had a nail biting finish and at the end India won the match. Just 10 minutes before Swami came out, I came out to the street. Stood at my favourite spot,Late Sai Geetha's house.
The little elephant (many call her Sai Lakshmi, yet not sure if Swami gave any name to her). Junior Sai Geetha was playing in the planatorium compound. The tiny tot, who is around 5 feet tall, like a small child was running here and there, totally ignoring the surroundings and happenings. As Swami's car was about to come out from the stadium, Mr.Pedda Reddy, took Junior Sai Geetha out side. It was an emotional moment for me as I always used to stand by Sai Geetha when every Swami came out for Darshans. This time, Sai Geetha(Jr), was standing right next to me, as Mr.Pedda Reddy was holding the rope around her neck, I hold her left ear, it was a very different experience, standing by an elephant, who again was just as tall as me. I was wondering how she will respond to Swami when the car gets closer. Above all the crowd, security was just uncontrollable. Swami's car got closer and closer, Pedda Reddy took the Jr closer to the road. I was holding her ears tight, the little soul, was totally unaware of what was happening, Swami's car got more closer and the driver almost stopped the car by her side and Swami bend a bit forward looked at her with a beautiful smile and the Sai Geetha Jr, gave a thumping reply by raising her trunk, and devotees watching this divine romance screamed out of joy.. Later she was taken in and I continued my JOG WITH THE DIVINE.. Every time I run with Swami, He gives the same soothing look, sweet smile and watching the crowds smile, throw flowers, call out for Swami loudly, just made me cry from the bottom of my heart, thanked Swami from the bottom of my heart for letting me see Him so close and for all His love and affection He showers on we, devotees. It was 6pm by then and after running with the car till the Ganesh Gate, I went into the ashram to catch yet another glimpse of Him from Kulwanth Hall. the hall was empty by then. There were only few sevadals. As I curiously looked at Swami's car as where it will head to, the car slowly drove towards Swami's residence.
Probably the prayers of the players was so intense that Swami had to extend His stay in the stadium....
With prayers and thanks givings for a beautiful day, I left the ashram hoping for a more fruitful day tomorrow. Satish Naik from Parthi

Iam sure the moment any one read the subject of this email would have thought, wow, is that true!! Less than 2 months of Sai Geetha's sudden demise, another tiny elephant calf, landed in the holy soil of Puttaparthi brushing aside all the probabilities and surprising every one of us..... Very few knew about this until this morning, when our beloved Swami, personally went to the present Sai Geetha's samadhi to welcome His yet another CHOSEN pet into His fold spending good 15 mins or so in the compound... Reportedly, the elephant, yet to be named, was brought from some place in Kerala (many say its from the same forest where Sai Geetha was born) this morning (21st July)..We are not sure if its male or female but looks like its only few months old.. Any one strongly associated with Sai Geetha, would be very happy to know this news and also more happy to see this tiny replica of Sai Geetha, who perhaps, will match the love and devotion which Sai Geetha showed towards Swami.... Its really a great feeling for every one us especially those who couldnot see Sai Geetha physically.  The baby is presently kept behind the planetorium, away from public. Probably, it will take another 2 days, for it to get acclimatized to the surroundings and know what a HOLY place she is in... Sata Koti Pranams to you beloved Swami for this GIFT....

Puttaparthi is still mourning the death of beloved Sai Geetha and we still can't believe that she is actually gone.. This morning, around 7am I reached her house inorder to attend her funeral and pay my last respects to the departed soul. There were a hundreds of devotees lined up and our beloved Swami was actually coming to see His beloved.. I thought for a while, probably this is the first time that Sai Geetha won't be on her feet after seeing Swami's car heading towards her house.. our compassionate Lord, had actually come to a bid a farewell and look after the arrangements for the funeral.. she was lying on the right side of the planetorium and Swami's car slowly drove in ..There was pin drop silence in the premises which had very few devotees.Swami was not in His usual mood this morning..He was visibly moved and bit sad. He didnt look at any one of us.. neither was He curious to look at His darling lying lifeless.. I was praying to Swami, Swami it would be very hard for you to bear this separation.. An Avatar was performing His duties, in a human level, bidding farewell to His favourite pet... No one dared to go to Swami, no one were sure as how to start a conversation or what to say to Swami.. as He knew everything...Mr.Pedda Reddy, the care taker of Sai Geetha, who was weeping went to Swami, Swami joined Him, it brought tears to every one there.Sai Geetha used to listen only to two People , Swami and Pedda Reddy.. Pedda Reddy loudly cried, "Choodu Swami ela padukoni undo.... Leyya mante leyyatam ledu"(look Swami how she is sleeping, She is not getting up inspite of my request). Those words were enough for our hearts to melt and cry loudly.. Swami's chair slowly landed on the floor and Swami was just next to Sai Geetha.. Swami stretched His hands very gently caressed her trunk.. She loves it when Swami touches her trunk and my thoughts went back to the incident which Swami narrated on various occasions, when Swami brought back dead Karanam Subbamma. I was praying to Swami, Swami please do that again for Sai geetha and let her take a fruit from your Holy hands and close her eyes.. Swami materialised Vibhuthi, gently applied on her trunk.. more vibhuthi was brought and Swami kept on applying looking at her body with a HEAVY heart and thinking something... Swami then asked to open her eyes.. As Pedda Reddy opened Swami gazed into her eyes for few seconds. He then gave suggestions as how the funeral should be done and insisted to put more sugarcane leaves under her while burying and asked to me more careful while shifting her body to her house.... A huge pit was dug in her new house. Swami then said, lets go to her house.. sitting in His car He looked at the huge pit.. His eyes were full of tears and He tried His best to control His emotions.. Swami then left for ashram after spending a good 30 minutes at her place... A huge crane was brought to carry Sai Geetha to her house.. The workers who were working for the new indoor stadium participated actively in shifting her.. It was a huge task for the engineers and workers and at one stage it was looking bit impossible as it was a rare case for any one.. Swami who went back to His house probably couldn’t bear the separation, His heart was crying for Sai Geetha and at 11am He came again to the premises as Sai Geetha was now hanging in the huge crain and was being shifted to the house..Swami's car stopped just infront of the planetorium and He was watching her lifted by the huge crain..as students sang bhajans on one side and another group of students chanted vedas..It took almost two hours for the engineers to put her in the pit and Swami ignoring the hot sun watched His Geetha for two hours..... for the last time in the present body Swami's car now moved forward. He was giving suggestions from the car, to the engineers and to the students. It was very hard for Him to see His Geetha being carried and while doing so had some wounds on her skin….Swami preferred to have her head facing east and after she was successfully put in the pit, Swami send a work to PeddaReddy to sprinkle Turmeric,Kumkum and Vibhuti on her body.. atleast 3 bags of rice was brought and all of us took a fist full of rice and sprinkled on her body ..After every thing was done, Swami's car further moved to the pit, Swami's face and eyes were very red. The emotions, the sadness reached MAXIMUM for Swami…as soon as He got a clear picture of Sai Geetha, tears rolled down from His eyes. It was unbelievable and He was seen wiping the tears of love, tears of separation and those assembled there just broke down, just by seeing a RARE Swami.. it was a very emotional moment for all of us.. and seeing Swami we all cried from the bottom of our hearts.. that cry which melted every tiny cell of our body, it was a moment where the Creator Himself came all the way to complete the last rites of HIS own CREATION,in the form of an elephant, which will stay in our hearts to eternity for her unconditional love and dedication… Only today many of us realised how much He loved Sai Geetha. We will definitely miss the sweet voice.. Geetha.. Geetha, which was heard from Swami while He consoled her, carrassed her, motivated her... Even now those sweet words echo in my ears. She was a living legend until yesterday.. If she had the power to speak she would have narrated beautiful experiences she had with Swami never heard in the Sai World. It will be a sad news for all of us.. but Iam sure, She is very happy with our Lord and also happy that Swami, came all the way from Kodai, to be with her for less than 4 days and visit her twice for the final rites…. Thank you Sai Geetha for letting us know the REALITY.. The Real way to God is LOVE HIM and LIVE FOR HIM… You are an embodiment of Love.. even on your last day, you made Swami come to you, you gave more than 2 hours non stop darshan to the thousands and millions of devotees had an opportunity to TURN INWARD…. Thank you my Lord… You are so Compassionate.. With Humble Pranams at the Lotus feet of our beloved Lord… Satish Naik from Puttaparthi…

Iam sure you will be shocked to read this but its true.. our Beloved Sai Geetha is no more...with heavy heart and sorrow, I want to pass the news of Swami's beloved pet Sai Geetha merged at His lotus feet at around 5pm (local time) on 22nd May'2007.I thought it would be atleast another 10 years that I would be narrating her obituary..but.... According to eye witness on 22nd May 2007, this morning Sai Geetha went to the water tub just behind the planetorium and slipped into the water.. She was looking very weak and had sour feet. Her leg was struk in the mud and unsuccessful attempts were made the whole day to pull her out..She was almost in a semi conscious mind. It was a difficult task for the people around her, considering her heavy body and cautious enough to not to hurt her body any further. Many veterinary doctors and others were with her and she was given saline bottles and also a team of specialist doctors from Kerala,were on the way to Parthi, but Swami had different plans.. She breathed her last breath around 5pm, thus ending a great life, a saga of love between the CREATOR and the CREATION.. Any body who entered the premises of Parthi would definitely peep through the window of the bus to have a glance of Sai Geetha.. It was just an involuntary action. I remember in my childhood days, when the bus just passed by her, we used to scream.. there is Sai Geetha!!! Its very sad that she won't be seen any more. For devotees who are on a sight seeing visit around the village, would definitely stop by SaiGeetha, silently watch her in adoration, great respect and a bit jealous for winning Swami's heart.... She was of great motivation,adoration and a living example to all the devotees coming to our Lord's abode with devotion but with a little of wavering faith.. Her devotion for Swami was steady, unconditional, innocent, full of love.She exists only to love and adore Him. THAT IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF DEVOTION and this is the lesson that she drove into our minds... that the whole purpose of life is to EXIST for the Lord and there is nothing greater than that. the saga of Love started in the year 1962 when Swami went to Muddumalai forest, where in the officials spotted a tiny baby elephant who had just lost her physical mother.. Very little did the baby knew that her Sai Ma is coming, to take her to Her home. Immediately she was named SAI GEETHA and was shifted to Parthi in a truck. Swami always looked after her so well and every need was full filled.. She was adorned with 27 types of ornaments, ranging from Golden head gear to the silver ankels.. Like a perfect mother, Swami was very particular about the way she should be dressed for important occassions. He would even check very keenly if her silver anklets were polished,and if her dress and ornaments were in tact. There was no festival or function without beautifully decorated SaiGeetha in Kulwanth Hall.. Swami would make sure that He fed her with various fruits. Even this day,He used to ask the boys to wheel Him towards her or let her come to the stage and feed her..Till late 2000 She would insist Swami to feed her by putting the fruits directly into her mouth and not into her trunk.. But lately she started accepting fruits when Swami very lovingly placed on her already stretched trunk.. Before the construction of the new indoor stadium, the engineers decided to demolish the shed in which sai Geetha was living, when this was brought to Swami's notice, He was bit concerned and only after building a makeshift house behind the planetorium with a large bath tub that Swami gave the green signal for the construction of the stadium. Swami insisted that the new house should be built closer to the road so that she doesnt have to walk a long distance when Swami passes by in the car.. Such was the care and concern Swami had on His darling devotee. On a personal note, I can't forget the day when Swami inaugarated her house November 18th 2006, where I had Swami's padanamaskar.. Just after Swami left I went to her, touched her and as tears rolled down, I thanked her for the opportunity I got through her...
The days when the stadium construction was in progress were the GOLDEN DAYS for Her as She used to see Him almost every day and I made sure that I run with the car till Her house to watch the divine romance.. when ever Swami left or came to Parthi, her house was my favourite spot. Even on May 19th when Swami cut short His summer vist and drove directly to Parthi, I was standing by Sai Geetha, watching her for more than one hour and took almost 30 pictures while she came out from her house. She took picutures with devotees and she was infact giving various poses sometimes raising her trunk, sometimes stretching her trunk towards the devotees She moved very slowly and she seemed to be in pain while landing her left foot.the caretaker
had to force her to come out of the gate just 2 minutes before Swami's arrival.Even though she was excited to see Swami, the loud trumpet was missing.. Probably she knew she had to leave the body very shortly.. Many of us had our own reasons and conclusions for Swami's surprise return to Parthi and Iam sure this is the MAIN REASON for His comeback in the mid of May, to bid a farewell to His CHOSEN pet... beloved Sai Geetha...
According to reports, she will be buried at her place tomorrow(23rd may 2007) around 6am...
WE ALL HAVE TO LEAVE WHEN OUR ACT IS OVER ATLEAST HER SOUL PLAYED WITH GOD IN THIS LIFE TIME AND HOPEFULLY ENDED THIS CYCLE OF BIRTH AND DEATH THAT WE ARE TRYING TO CLEAR...
LETS CELEBRATE HER FORTUNE TO HAVE BEEN WITH GOD...  Om Sairam to most beloved Sai Family 19th April 2007, The much awaited wedding of R.V.Janikaramaiah (Swami’s brother)’s grand daughter’s wedding was a grand success and thanks to Swami for His Physical presence and the family worked hard to accommodate the vast invitees and devotees.. It was indeed a great day for all the devotees, the family members of Swami and to the blessed few who could make it to the wedding… I have no idea as where to start today’s story as its filled with Sai love and also His surprise gift. Being a video grapher for Prof.Anil Kumar’s Sunday talks for over 2 years now.. I thought why not try to film the Family wedding scheduled on 19th. With lots of hopes and aspirations, I approached the family and by Swami’s grace got t got the nod from the family to film the proceedings… My happiness knew no bounds and I know its not a SMALL wedding.. the lord of the lords will make a physical presence to bless His (read as His body’s) brother’s grand daughter who is also His grand daughter… and filming weddings is a not a small thing especially Indian style weddings which are lengthy and customary.. As the wedding day got closer and closer my curiosity was mounting.. I was very excited.. and also tense.. When will Swami come.. Will I cover the wedding properly? Will I get a chance to speak to Him? Bla.. bla.. Last night I couldn’t sleep and I woke up as early as 3am and was sitting on my bed praying to Swami to bless this special day for the couple and also to me who is doing a maiden entry into filming marriages.. I know its all Swami’s grace.. The wedding started in R.V.Janaki Ramayya Kalyana Mandapam at 8am and the Tali ceremony was also over at 9:05am and all eyes were gazed at the entrance.. all the VIPs, ministers, filmstars were in the hall and it was Swami’s turn now.. Exactly at 9:17 Swami’s car entered the premises and there was huge anxiety in all of us.. I slowly moved to the front of the stage and sat on the floor with my camcorder… I was to Swami’s side and just 4 feet away Swami’s wheel chair was landing on the floor.. My hands were shivering.. not because it was my first job but after seeing Swami.. I was wondering can this be real.. Slowly the chair landed and Swami turned to His right and looked at me.. My heart beat stopped for a while.. I slowly moved back to make way for Swami.. who got close to the 3 feet height stage where the bride and bride groom were seated..Swami signaled the newly wed couple to come down the stage.. the whole family were surrounding Swami.. Swami gently smiled at all of them.. As I was having a camcorder, I was allowed to get closer to Swami.. in no time I landed right infront of the Lotus feet, looking through my LCD screen I could see Swami so close that I didn’t even had to do atleast 2X zoom.. Many times I preferred to see Swami through my naked eyes instead of the screen.. Swami then blessed the garland.. took some turmeric rice in His hands and sprinkled over the couple..He asked them to take padanamskar and very lovingly spoke to the grand daughter and suddenly He waved His hands as if to materialize some thing. I knew there would be at least one materiliasation as I held my breath and focused my camera at His hands..Swami materialized vibhuti and gave it to the newly wed couple..there were anxious moments in the family members.. Many were in tears.. thanking Swami for His presence in the wedding Swami blessed the couple and the bride showed her Mangala Sutra and Swami blessed the same by keeping His hand.. the g rand daughter held Swami’s hands with tears in her eyes and Swami looking at her eyes tightend the grip and that made the bride cry more.. Swami very lovingly asked her not to do so and it was just a treat to the eyes to see the Lord of the lords, cominng all the way to the wedding and playing a perfect grand pa role… after a while Swami accepted arathi from both and they had another padanamaskar. The family now came closer to Swami and Swami spoke to them very sweetly .. saying Chala Santhosam..chala santhosam (very happy)… He then gave padanamaskar to all.. Suddenly He looked to me.. in surprise, probably asking (how come you are here?).. I was right infront of Swami’s feet I was wondering should I (touch) or shouldn’t I.. I know its very rare chance to get that close and with me.. even when I see a photo of Swami’s feet.. I see that I touch and offer my virtual prayers to the lotus feet and here Iam right infront of the Lotus feet in flesh and blood….. taking some courage(from Swami) I stretched my left hand and touched His feet and looked at Swami, who was ready for me with a Sweet smile…
Swami now signaled to go.. and the wheel chair was slowly moving towards the car.. suddenly the chair stopped as Swami was speaking to some one.. and I was now to the right side of Swami and as I looked upto Swami.. He signaled with His hand to take padanamaskar and in no time.. I touched His right lotus feet.. tears were rolling down.. I had no words to describe the compassion of our most beloved Swami… Swami left for the ashram after staying there for 15 minutes… With prayers and best wishes from the whole sai family to Sri Kumari and Sarath… I offer my pranams at the lotus feet of our Lord… Jai Sai Ram Satish Naik from Puttaparthi

Greetings from the land of Sai Shiva, the abode of Highest peace,Prasanthi Nilayam. This year’s Maha Shivarathri celebrations were fully CHARGED with divine energy and perennial stream of love of our beloved Sai Ma.
The streets of Puttaparthi were packed, the Kulwanth Hall was obviously packed and double the number of people were waiting out side to get a glimpse of Sai Shiva… our beloved Swami.
16th February 2007
This morning the hall was packed by 3 am and same number of devotees were lined up for afternoon darshan on the hill top. Swami came around 8:15 to bless the gathering with His divine darshan. I was almost at the end of the hall, and during festivals, crowd is just uncontrollable raising from the seats, raising their hands, I hardly had a glimpse of Swami. For the past one week, it was the same for me. Which ever line I choose, that gets last or second last token number. I was wondering as what would have gone wrong. I was very much convinced that its all His play and pain is followed by pleasure.
The morning session completed with distribution of prasad. After receiving the prasad, I went out to see the queue and the area behind Ganesha was full. Not knowing what to do, I was walking by East Prasanthi. There I met one elderly devotee from New Zealand, who was in queue for the bench. While I was talking to him, I saw a huge flood of devotees rushing towards the Kulwanth Hall entry gate. My 70 Kilo body was literally carried away as if the doors of a dam was opened. Before the sevadals could come and control the crowd, I found my self entering the Kulwanth hall. I was in fact 9th person to get in and being a BIG day, the whole first line spots were reserved for VIPs. There were only 15 vacant spots in the first row and being the 9th person, I rushed to get a spot. It was all His play. I had no idea what I was going through. In no time I found myself in a perfect CAMERA MAN kinda spot where I could see the whole proceedings. My heart was crying, I had no words to describe the happiness. Swami, all these days, played with me and now compensated with a first row, and this is NOT an ordinary day.. I was thanking my stars for this boon. There was a big group of Russians sitting next to me. It was only 10:30 am then and we all were inside for the afternoon darshan which would be any time after 3:30.
I knew it was all a patience game.. Just closed my eyes, repeating Lord’s name. It was 3:30pm and there was no trace of Swami yet. Many devotees were standing, some stretching their bodies, some taking a deep breath. The crowd out side was so huge that there was no chance to go out to take a break as there was no guarantee that we will come back to our spots. It was 4pm and the security near Swami’s House get alert signaling the arrival of the Lord of the Lords. Facing us were students and they were very close to the path way and Swami’s car, slowly entered the Kulwanth hall amidst Veda chantings and music. All were eager and excited as what would happen and wondering if the history will repeat again, will He take the Atma Linga again, will we see the intolerable pain Swami’s body undergoes.. Swami’s car now gets towards the gents side. As the students had almost occupied the path, the car had to get close to us.. so close that even the security couldn’t stand next to the car. Swami came towards us, was analyzing Swami’s mood, Swami’s car comes close to us and the beautiful form gets more clearer and clearer. He was all smiling, He was reading our minds.. Was praying from heart, Swami, no more linga, your darshan is the highest gift for us.. As Swami was right in front of us, He looks into my eyes, those looks which are full of compassion, those looks which are soothing, those looks which can scan one’s past, present and future, those looks which will make our hearts dance in joy.. O Swami!! How can I express my gratitude to you, You are a ocean of Compassion..
As Swami was smiling and blessing each and every one the car slowly passes by. as the car enters the students’ zone, many primary school students go to Swami showing the replica’s of various forms of Shiva lingams. Swami closely looked at each and every one.. After the car was halted near the dias, Swami came on the dias. He asks one of the boys, to call upon Mr. Raju, the chairman of Nagarjuna Construction group, who is a long time ardent devotee of Swami, whose leg had to be amputated recently because of a snake bite. Mr. Raju, came in his wheel chair, and sat next to Swami. I remember he was blessed the same day in 2006 to read few of the 17,000 poems which he has personally written in praise of Swami. Mr. Raju read the poems in Swami’s immediate presence. The poems were beautifully written in telugu and the reading went on close to an hour.
Later Swami called upon Mr.Popat, (who always likes to refer himself as Puppet) from UK shared his views about Swami. Being an eloquent speaker he was very impressive wit his characteristic blend of Hindi and English. He was of the opinion that its time for all of us to decide if we want to become good men or great person, a successful man or a perfect devotee of Baba. Its better to have His anugraha (grace) than all name, fame, wealth.
The objective of our sadhana is to realize God. We are fortunate to have God himself in our midst. Swami has come to realize that YOU ARE NOT THE BODY.. you are NO BODY. There is no ownership, doer ship, and knower ship. Its all Him. What is the role to be performed? We are just puppets in His hands. Only His smile is more than any awards or rewards. No one came here on their own. He brought us all. You pray to Him and He will come running to you.
We all are chosen children of our Lord. We have lots of responsibility on our shoulders. How many devotees go back to their places and contemplate and follow His words. Our Swami is Loka Nath. He is omnipresent. He works silently without any publicity.
Mr.Popat continued Your aim is to go forward, upward but INWARD. There are 7 up steps. First wake up, standup, dress up, look up, reach up, lift up and last and Swami likes it a lot, Shut up. Do every thing in the name of God and shut up. What ever you want to convey, convey heart to heart. What does Swami expects us to do. Wake up, with a spirit of God, realize your true identity. Sathya, Dharma, Santhi Prema and Ahimsa. Next stand up, we are not animals, neither are we birds, we are Sai Bhakta, aham brahmasmi, how do we get up. We have to make up our mind, that I will behave like a human being. What ever you want to ask, ask our Sai Ma. That’s our right.
Look up, be positive. Swami says, I am around you, below you be aware that I am aware. Every thought should be divine. Always know that Swami knows every thing. As long as we breath, as long as the food we eat is digested, take it that Swami is with us.
Once we look up Reach up, where ever you go go with conviction. When you see a poor man, you must feel the hunger. You should reach his heart. Poor people smile only when their tears are wiped, with love.
21 st century will not be preaching but reaching.. He is going to reach each and every one.
After you reach up, lift up after seeing Swami, listening His messages, we should lift up the poor and destitutes.
After doing all this shut up. Shouldn’t say anything.100% involvement an 0% attachment.
We have come here for a purpose. Make us to walk on sai path, sathya dharma Santhi Prema and Ahimsa.
Later Mr.Popat, concluded his talk making all of us praise our beloved Swami…
The next programme was what we all were looking forward to. It was also bit tense, what if Swami decides to take Lingam? Can we bear the pain again? As all these thoughts were pondering, Swami orders to get the discourse table to be placed before Him. He slowly raises from His seat, as there was a cheerful applauds from the audience, Swami adjusts the microphone, a broad smile at all the devotees and starts His discourse with a sweet telugu poem..…

TRUTH IS CHANGELESS
Every where truth pervades. Truth is propelling all over. Truth has no form and is every where. What ever you see is truth. (Swami now raises His hand, We all thought he is going to mention some thing about the bulbs but surprising all materializes a small golden object, to me it looked like a Lingam of the size of a peanut, He didn’t move His hands much, He got it from the thin air, as if He was plucking a fruit from a tree) it had a bright shine.. Swami continues This is Truth…where from this came and it will go back to truth again. (so saying He disappeared the object in the thin air) Sathyam is multidimensional. Truth is one but none can realize this. truth is not merely verbal. Truth can manifest in various forms. Brahma is one. God is only truth and all others are just reflections of divine. This truth has many names. Every thing has to emerge from truth. Dharma is originated from truth. There is no other Dharma beyond truth. When Sathya Dharma go together you get peace. Out of peace, you find love emanating. It binds every body. There is no place without love. Out of Love you have ananda (bliss). There is no hatred after you have love. If you want non-violence you should just have love. Mamai vamso jeevaloke jeeva bhootah sanatanaha we all are sparks of God. You are not separate. You are al MY reflections. Body and names may vary.. there is only one Atma in all. Body has got its own name.. why? For recognition. This is only for identification. Atma is same in all..
GIVE UP DUALITY
Today Love is categorized as separate entity. Love is ONE and same. Never give any
Scope for differences. Never have any duality. When there no duality you will have peace. Man with dual mind is half blind. You have 2 eyes. Both the eyes see same object. WE ALL ARE O NE. We all the children of same mother. We should acquire that one ness. Then only humanity will be united. Who is Human being. Is he the one with legs and hands. One who has no differences is HUMAN. There should not be any scope for differences. Bodies might be different, Atma is one. Names and forms are different. We should not develop differences with names and forms. We should be united where ever you are. Jewels are many gold is one, colour of cows are different but milk is one, we are born as human beings. How ever there might be some differences physically. Bulbs are many, current is one. There fore all bodies are equal.
PRAYER FROM DEVOTEES
Later Swami announced amidst loud cheers that He is not going to do the Lingodbhavam.
I am very happy to demonstrate the one ness of humanity. I received lakhs of letters from devotees all over the world asking not to perform lingodbhavam. Many doctors said its not good for Your body. For the man to know the truth I need to do that. For the blood to form as solid, one needs lot of energy. For utilization of this energy there should be enough strength. More over Each lingam weigh a lot. Many devotees said Swami it is not good to waste (your) valuable energy for this... those who believe YOU will believe and others |
